watchmen review

I thought this movie was way too long and was not that good at all,
Sure it had a few good scenes but a lot of boring dragged on scenes to.

I think they kept it too close to the novel (which I have never read)

At points me and my mates had no idea what was going on...

I really think you need to understand the novel or you wont get it.

The worst thing is the trailer hyped this movie up to be something it was not I was expecing a action packed movie and what I recieved was something far different.

Unveiled at the 2009 Tokyo Auto Salon, the Mugen NSX RR is a wild concept version of the legendary NSX which ended production in 2005. Featuring a combination of lightweight carbon fibre and aluminium body panels for its wide bodykit which has elongated and widened the car to 177.95 and 5.5 inches respectively, the famous 3.0-litre V6 engine has also been replaced with a rather tasty supercharged 2.4-litre V6.

Mated to a revised six-speed manual gearbox, Mugen has been mum about the official power output but rumour has it that the NSX RR is pushing some 284 kW. Sadly, the Mugen NSX RR is just officially an one-off show car, but who knows, maybe Honda.Mugen will consider acquiring some low mileage NSXs and converting them to 'RR' spec, just like what Nissan did with the NISMO R34 GT-R Z-Tune.

Omg ... i just went... and i was really really disappointed...

no merc... no BMW... no Audi.... I wanted to drool on a R8 audi... laugh at a X6 BMW... sit in a AMG SLK 63 and wish happy thoughts.. but no they werent there ...
They even disconnected the horn on a heap of cars too so i couldnt scare people looking in the engine bays =P
they also had a bloody massive stand for Kia ... navman and that waeco and even RTA had a Stand... Who cares how fast i can bowl a cricket ball at a speed camera... you cant even take a run offf wtf is with that !?!?

the super car stand had like 3 real super cars..

Zonda, Gambella Porsche and a Konasisdfasfasdf CCX (however you spell that name..) i dont class a Bowell or whatever it is one... other than being light and with a 2.3 ltr in it ( i think) and looking at old cars is nice but... guess what seen then before 2 years running...

i mean... seriously it was lame...

i mean do Volkswagon and Skodo need 2 seperate section and at that size !!! they are the same damn car just different skin...

anyways just posting my rant about it... honestly sometimes it seems that the motor show is really made by holden because no matter what they have nearly a whole damn building to show their dog boxes which we see driving the streets every day... prolly only good thing was the damn caddies =P

o well i feel better now but still really disappointed... even made me not wanna go to one ever again.. they seem to be gettin more crapper by the year...

just a warning to anyone who might be thinking of going.

According to the Automotive News Toyota Toyota has dropped the successor to the Supra from its product plans due to the high mpg requirements in the US.

In addition to the death of the Supra it looks like the FJ Cruiser will only be around for one generation. Expect the FJ Cruiser to only continue out its current life cycle which is only a few more years. The 4-Runner will be new for 2010.

The 4th episode is where Jeremy drives across Japan in it. But the good one is episode 5 where he gets to test the car on Fuji Speedway. I have NEVER heard Jeremy Clarkson speak so highly of a Japanese car before. Words like "feels like it has a million horse power", staggering etc. And best of all the GT-R's cornering G's stuffed up his neck so he had to cut short his test.

The Stig drives it around the TG track and the result was surprising . . . . 1m19.7s. Faster than the Ferrari Scuderia, Lambo LP640, 911 GT3 RS, Carrera GT, slower than the Ariel Atom. That is just staggering, this is a car with 4 seats and a boot.

Well there has been alot of rumours of a new Mazda coupe entering the market. Well today i found confirmation that from 2010 the new Rx7 will be produced. This project claims to of been partly motivated by the latest American/Japanese Mazda concept car, the Furai, which achieved alot of attention.

The car will be a rotary engine driven RWD platform with around 350ps. The twin rotary powered engine will utilize on Mazdas hydrogen technology that it used for the Rx8. In Mazdas vision, they want a car that will live up to the expectations of the enthusiasts, but they also want a car that houses revolutionary technology. If Mazda can build this new rx7 to be a both a performance car and a environmentally low emmissions friendly car then they may be able to create a car that will be appauled for years to come. With low emissions they will be ensuring a future for the car, as government restrictions and the growing cost of petrol will cause many petrol eaters to quickly become extinct.

This article reads that the car will be good for the environment.

The new Rx7 is also said to be quite small and perhaps a similar size to the new Mx5.

The price is also stated to be significantly lower than other performance cars entering the market in Japan with a price between 3.5 and 4 million yen.:icon_tup:

Honda makes first hydrogen cars

Japanese car manufacturer Honda has begun the first commercial production of a zero-emission, hydrogen fuel-cell powered vehicle.

The four-seater, called FCX Clarity, runs on electricity produced by hydrogen, and emits water vapour.

Honda claims the vehicle offers three times better fuel efficiency than a traditional, petrol-powered car.

Honda plans to produce 200 of the cars, which are initially available only to lease, over the next three years.

One of the biggest obstacles standing in the way of wider adoption of fuel-cell vehicles is the lack of hydrogen fuelling stations.

Critics also point out that hydrogen is costly to produce and the most common way to produce hydrogen is still from fossil fuels.

Analysis of the environmental impact of different fuel technologies has shown that the overall carbon dioxide emissions from hydrogen powered cars can be higher than that from petrol or diesel-powered vehicles.

'Monumental step'

The first five customers are all based in southern California because of the proximity of hydrogen fuelling stations, Honda said.

US actress Jamie Lee Curtis will be among the first to take delivery of the vehicle, the firm added.

The car will initially be available for lease in California starting in July, and then in Japan later this year.

It is being built on the world's first dedicated production line for fuel-cell vehicles in Japan.

"This is an important day in the history of fuel-cell vehicle technology and a monumental step closer to the day when fuel-cell cars will be part of the mainstream," said John Mendel, executive vice president of American Honda.

How the technology works

Honda says it expects to lease a few dozen units in the US and Japan in 2008, and about 200 units within three years.

It said the cost of the car, on a three-year lease, would be $600 (£300) a month.

The FCX Clarity is based on Honda's first-generation hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle, the FCX concept car. Honda delivered around 34 of these cars, mainly in the US, of which 10 remain in use.

Booming demand

Many car makers are developing cleaner, more economical vehicles because of high fuel prices and as consumers become more concerned with the environment.

Toyota said it was struggling to keep up with booming demand for its hybrid vehicles because it was unable to make enough batteries.

Hybrid vehicles, such as Toyota's top-selling Prius, switch between a petrol engine and electric motor.

Toyota Motor Corp's executive vice president, Takeshi Uchiyamada, told the Associated Press that new battery production lines could not be added until next year.

"Hybrids are selling so well we are doing all we can to increase production," he said. "We need new lines."

Volkswagen, Europe's biggest car maker said on Monday it wanted to produce a Golf which consumed three to four litres of petrol per 100 kilometres compared with 4.3 litres currently for the most fuel-efficient model.

"In the next few years, we are not going to do without petrol and diesel motors, but the future belongs to the electric car," VW chairman Martin Winterkorn told German newspaper Bild-Zeitung.

NÜRBURG, Germany — The latest prototype of the 2011 Acura NSX has hit the Nürburgring, and according to our sources in Japan, it has a very specific goal. We're told that Takeo ***ui, CEO of Honda, has tasked his R&D team with building an NSX that's faster around the Nürburgring than both the Nissan GT-R and the upcoming Lexus LF-A.

It's a tall order, and one that Honda hopes it can achieve through the use of a 5.5-liter V10 expected to make 550 horses, with a torque peak expected to top 420 pound-feet. The engine is essentially a slightly larger version of the V8 that Honda will use for the next-generation, rear-wheel-drive RL sedan, and it will use cylinder deactivation under light loads for maximum efficiency. Additional gains will come from the use of an eight-speed, paddle-shifted automatic.

Getting the power to the ground will be a modified version of Honda's Super-Handling All-Wheel-Drive (SH-AWD) system. Packaging could be tight, however, as this NSX will place its V10 up front. A combination of steel and aluminum will be used for the chassis that will form the basis of this 2+2 sports car.

A nutritious meal on the road is hard to come by. Knowing how far we were behind schedule, a drive thru lunch was the only option yesterday afternoon. Needless to say, we're pretty sure it's the first time a GT-R has navigated a gut busting, house of calories like Burger King. We're happy to report that the cupholders in the center console are some of the best we've ever seen in a car with over 450 horsepower. And when we were finished, the ample door pockets held two crumpled up bags of trash without a problem despite the fact they were already bulging with beef jerky wrappers and flash card readers. Yes, the GT-R really can do it all
